CCA Fabricare Tradeshow Exhibit Hall is Free for
Attendees!
On December 14, 2011 the CCA Board of Directors voted to allow Fabricare attendees
to visit the Exhibit Hall for free. In previous shows, the charge to attend
the exhibit hall was $15.00. CCA President Bobby Patel Stated, ”CCA is offering
an economic stimulus to the Fabricare attendees.” Attendees can now view the
latest drycleaning, wetcleaning, and coin laundry equipment for free.
Now is the best time to purchase a new machine for your
plant. There are over 100 drycleaners in Northern California using perchloroethylene
(perc) machines that will soon be phased out. If you have an old machine, now
is the time to come to Fabricare 2012 and purchase a new machine.
California Cleaners Association (CCA) Attends DLI & Other State Associations
in Cooperative Effort Connection Between International and Regional Associations
to Enhance Benefits to Association Members - New!
Representatives of 15 U.S. drycleaning associations met
with DLI at a large meeting room at the Embassy Suites in Linthicum, Maryland,
to discuss how to “improve their working relationship and better benefit members,”
said DLI’s Director of Membership, Jon Meijer. “DLI’s sole goal was to establish
a cooperative working relationship with our partners and I think we succeeded,”
Meijer said. “Several fantastic ideas and suggestions were developed during
the breakout sessions. Now that the meeting is over the real work is beginning.”
Meijer said the real work included looking at new ways to communicate with members
and providing new ways for members to communicate with their customers.
“The days of pre-electronic communication are over. We need to develop faster, better ways of sharing information or we’re not going to last,” Meijer said. “We’re looking at several initiatives that will enhance our ability to work together as associations and better benefit our members.” More information on initiatives stemming from the meeting will become available as they develop.
